Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the salmon fillets.
Season the salmon with salt and pepper to taste. You can also add any other desired seasonings or herbs at this point.
If using, place lemon slices on top of the salmon fillets for added flavor.
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
