Ingredients
  

  • 908 gm Chicken breast, boneless, skinless
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 dash Oregano, dried
  • 1 dash Cumin (ground)
  • 1 dash Salt (to taste)
  • 454 gm Salsa verde, ready to serve

Method
 

Instructions - Slow Cooker
  1. Season chicken with garlic powder, oregano, cumin and salt and place in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Top with half the salsa verde (8 oz), cover and cook HIGH 2 hours or low 4 hours.
  3. Remove chicken, shred with 2 forks.
  4. Remove 2/3 cup of liquid from the slow cooker, and discard (unless you want it over rice).
  5. Place shredded chicken back into the crock pot with remaining salsa, adjust seasoning to taste if needed and keep warm.
  6. Instructions - Instant Pot
  7. Season chicken with garlic powder, oregano, cumin and salt and place in the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  8. Cover with salsa verde, cover and cook HIGH pressure 20 minutes. Quick or natural release.
  9. Remove chicken, shred with 2 forks.
