Method
- Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch and prevents the rice from becoming too sticky.
- Add the rinsed brown rice to the Instant Pot.
- Pour in the water over the rice.
- Add a pinch of salt if desired, though this is optional. Close the Instant Pot lid and set the vent to the sealing position.
- Select the "Manual" or "Pressure Cook" setting and set the cooking time to 22 minutes at high pressure.
- Once the cooking cycle is complete, allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes. Then, carefully switch the vent to the "Venting" position to release any remaining pressure.
- Once the pressure has fully released and the float valve has dropped, carefully open the Instant Pot lid.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.Serve the cooked brown rice as a side dish or as part of your favorite recipes.
- Enjoy your perfectly cooked brown rice made quickly and easily in the Instant Pot! Adjust the cooking time as needed based on your preferences and the specific instructions for your Instant Pot model.
