Method
- Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Spray the skillet with olive oil cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Once the skillet is hot, add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Make sure the shrimp are not overcrowded in the pan to ensure even cooking.
- Season the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. You can adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning depending on your desired level of spiciness.
- Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they start to turn pink and opaque.
- Flip the shrimp over with tongs and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side until they are fully cooked through and opaque.
- Be careful not to overcook the shrimp, as they can become tough and rubbery if cooked for too long.
- Once the shrimp are cooked through, remove the skillet from the heat.
- Serve the stove-top shrimp immediately, garnished with optional lemon wedges and chopped parsley if desired.
